GBTV2 was a mindblowing success. I ended up not making as much for it as I wanted to, but it was a bright, shining, tearful, and life-affirming beacon of love and creativity. My friends are fucking geniuses. All that gay shit aside, we raised $10,000 for Trans Lifeline! Which means Rist, Amity and I are getting tattoos. Will post those later.
That evening has been a sort of ricochet point for me, hitting me so hard that I've spun off into a new, better direction. Maybe it's just that I'm having a good week, maybe it's that I just rotated my bed so I sleep in a different direction now, but I feel so rejuvenated. In a combination of Open Doom Crescendo splitting my head open to dump three gallons of hope in there, and remembering that pomodoro timers actually do work for me, I think this might be the start of something better. Journaling has been easier, chores have been easier, the next thing I'd like to become easier is sitting down to work on guitar scales or opening up DaVinci to work on a shitpost or something.
I've been streaming more often, Furiten Fridays is back to full force. The last few fridays have been a lot of fun, I even have Gwyn (My super ultra bestie) working on a new vtuber for it. If you wanna play/learn some riichi mahjong, come hang out.
Some things I've been enjoying recently:
- Saikoro Music had its best episode ever. Cameron of Ginger Root has been doing a spiritual sequel to Toaster Music with his spin on a dicerolling randomizer challenge, rolling for the song itself, his budget and shopping location for instruments (or lack thereof), and the location to shoot the cover. His production on the episodes themselves is stellar. It still wows me that he is doing this literally all on his own in the span of two days. No matter what he rolls, he uses his multi-multi-multi-instrumental talents to make incredible covers of Temporary Secretary or Canned Heat. Please watch Cam's cover of Duvet by Boa (And leave a comment so he gets more money for the shop next time!).
- Jeffrey Pang's vlog series on learning to drift at Meihan has been fantastic. It's been delightful watching him make incremental progress to eventually qualifying for Kansai All-Stars, a massive yearly drift competition, as well as just showing what moving to Japan from Canada has been like (including making me the most jealous person ever; what do you mean you only spent $1000 on your kei car WITH registration???).
- In addition to GBTV, my friends from KINDNESS WONDERLAND just put out their entry to the itch toxic yuri vn jam, WHITE LINE NIGHTMARE and you should absolutely play it (+18, content warnings on page). A suffocating, sulfurous burn, churning knots and dashed hopes and love with every asterisk. It's good!
- UNBEATABLE's Jamie Paige DLC just gave us an incredible Beat/Teto music video.
- Not only is the Pinky Show website still up, they still sell merch! I got a water bottle :). If you've never seen the Pinky Show before, they're a super low-tech old internet (2005-2010ish) show about a wide range of topics, but primarily things like anti-imperialism and what it's like living in our nationalist, capitalist hellscape. But with cats. They're definitely not active much, if at all anymore, but it's still worth looking through their back catalog of videos, interviews, comics, and other projects. I thank them for opening a young Tia's eyes.

Currently the longest video I've ever made. I had a lot to cover, ok? Please enjoy my self-indulgent scrapbooking.
I also started my Hobonichi journal this week. I've been using an older journal to practice doing daily entries since mid-February.
It's been really nice, honestly. It's no cure for my bad memory, but it's a net for the things I'm not able to hold onto.
No other personal projects in the pipeline as of yet, but hopefully inspiration will strike soon. Until then, work begins on GBTV2.
I also plan on streaming again finally, so if you haven't, come give my twitch a follow.
Furiten Fridays for mahjong, and sunday backlog streams. Right now, I'm playing through Mega Man Legends with cool bestie Lucy! As always, I also do weekly Monday streams with Ty.

Happy new year! I am putting some things together behind the scenes. 30 year old Tia is going to try and lock in this year. Learning guitar, actually editing. I'm excited! Might even update the website...
